Tim Johnson
Washington Regional Manager, Hampton Lumber
Tim began his sawmill career in 1981, working in the summer to help pay for college. He became the Plant Manager for Hampton’s Morton operation in 2004 and in Darrington in 2012, splitting his time between both rural, timber-dependent communities. He understands the role that Hampton plays in the community and as a forest product consumer and tree forest manager. Tim also recognizes the need for a healthy, resilient National Forest system, as well as the economic sustainability and recreational access points it provides. He understands and stresses the importance of jobs in Darrington, in addition to a need for raw material at the Darrington facility.
In 1987, Tim married his wife, Sharon and they now have two adult daughters. In his free time, Tim enjoys hunting and riding horses all over the state, including in the North Cascades now that he spends half of his time so close.
